Supporting local communities
Our employees are passionate about supporting their local communities. Over the last five years they’ve help raise £1.8million for charities and volunteered more than 32,000 hours helping local charities, schools and community groups.
We've chosen three children's charities to support this year.
Birth, Baby & Beyond is based in Glasgow and aims to help families facing financial hardship or isolation within the Glasgow community. They provide families, who are referred by Glasgow City Council and Welfare Services, with free starter packs of essential baby and child items.
Rock Trust works with between 400-500 homeless or at risk of being homeless young people aged 16 to 25 in Edinburgh every year. This includes young people who are in transitions, leaving care or home and those involved in offending, alcohol or drug misuse. They provide an emergency service, one to one support at their offices or at the young person’s accommodation, group wellbeing programmes and employability work and respite places to stay.
Smile for Life work across the North East to put a smile on over 400 disabled and disadvantaged children’s faces every year. They offer a bespoke service to many children in need, whether it’s providing an iPad to allow a child to communicate with their family for the first time, a harness to allow a teenager to move more freely or provide training so that young people with disabilities or additional learning needs can get into employment.
